The interest in Drones is trickling down to community educators and youth who have shown interest in furthering and advancing technology education in community.

With the goal of creating a recreational and educational program, PSC has developed a Community Drone Club. The club provides Drone Pilots with a venue to hone their skills and channel the delivery of a recreational STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education program to community youth.

Drone Club

Drones bring a service and a human skill into the Community that did not exist before. They enhance the quality of existing community services and open the door to new on and off reserve opportunities. A Community Drone Club provides community leaders and administrators with the appropriate resources that offer both recreation and learning to the community youth.

Drone Soccer

PSC has secured the exclusive rights and as part of the Federation of Drone Soccer Canada, Federation of Drone Soccer USA, and World Air Sports Federation. PSC is offering this educational product and fast-growing sport to Indigenous and Metis Communities; boys and girls ages 10 years old to adult with a natural outcome of providing technical career paths for people who otherwise are not exposed to STEM.

So, how does it work, exactly? Think Quiddich from Harry Potter. There is a 10 x 20 x 10ft mesh arena to enclose the area of play and designed specifically to fit into a classroom, gym our outdoor area. Two teams collide as they try to help their designated striker fly through the other team’s goal. Drone Soccer provides an accessible team environment for beginners that is a spectator-friendly and indoor/outdoor safe activity which schools and communities can easily adopt.

Stem

Teaching and learning travels beyond the mere transfer of knowledge. Recreating with Drones engages youth and equips them with critical thinking, problem solving, creative and collaborative skills, and ultimately can establish connections between their school, their desired workplace, their relationship with community and their participation in the local and global economy.

Drones help teach different topics and subjects as they provide the ability to imagine. Drones allow students to work hands-on, making their learning easier by providing a tangible way to experiment with those things that they are being taught.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality use is generally safe and enjoyable. Virtual reality provides meaningful activity and enhanced quality of life. A growing body of research indicates that the engagement with virtual reality (VR) activities can have a positive impact on users’ mental and physical well-being.

VR use has significantly increased during the Covid-19 lockdown period with overwhelmingly positive opinions on the impact of VR activities on their mental and physical well-being. Strikingly, self-reported intensity of physical activity is considerably more strenuous in VR users than in console users. Given the current uncertainty as to the duration and course of the pandemic there will continue to be significant development and deployment of VR-based strategies aimed at helping the population cope with prolonged social distancing with particular regards to vulnerable individuals.

PSC provides this technology with appropriate training and coaching. The technology related to VR is expanding on regular basis and today, is being applied across many community functions. The technology works through a pair of sophisticated glasses while providing access to the WIFI and a vast array of programs.

We specialize in establishing Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), commonly referred to as Drones. Commercial drone services are an emerging technology that leverages the ability of end users to observe and react through live monitoring, obtain samples of solids, air, or water for testing. Recreational Drones can contribute to the continued learning and well-being of youth groups. In-Community First Responder Services can respond to all nature of emergent requests for service based on easily accessible communication channels operated through in-community resources.
