Security Technician: 

The security technician will receive formal and practical training in how to:

  • ensure equipment purchased for the purpose of the Safe Community Program is cost effective and operationally efficient.
  • install and maintain different types of alarm and CCTV systems on residential or community properties.
  • identify and troubleshoot problems that effect any electronic system providing protection and safety to community members. They monitor Community systems and ensure work is under the safety standards.
Communications Centre Operator:
The network technician will receive formal and practical training in how to:
  • ensure equipment purchased for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of the community communication channels integral to the Safe Community Program are cost effective and operationally efficient.
  • operate the Safe Community Program computer programs and equipment
  • provide direction and assistance to community members who are in distress
  • effectively manage incidents that are stressful
